Iraqi Army Commanders Discuss Iran-Iraq Pact to Take Part in Operations in Syria and Iraq

Iran has announced its intention to join the fight against terrorist organization, Daesh (also known by the acronyms ISIL) and the Kurdish Regional Government. The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) has announced its intention to join the fight against terrorist organization, Daesh (also known by the acronyms ISIL) and the Kurdish Regional Government.

“We will soon announce the launch of a joint offensive against the ISIL (ISIL) stronghold, which lies only 30 kilometers from the central banks in the Iraqi Kurdistan, and its borders in the north of Syria and in Mosul,” IRIO quoted an IRI official as saying in a speech. He stressed that the country’s main weapons are in its own borders, not in international arms treaties, and that it can act in its own defense as it sees fit.
